1. DOWNLOAD OUR FTAA & WTO ACTION PACK!

This exciting Action Pack has been updated with analyses & news coverage about the defeat of the FTAA, and how we can work to make sure our victory is consolidated to defeat CAFTA!

2. ORGANIZE A WEEK OF ACTION FOR GLOBAL JUSTICE:

A Global Week of Action is planned for April 10-17, 2005. Take advantage of this global uprising for economic justice by organizing events in your community. These April actions to defeat CAFTA and other free trade schemes can involve lobbying, demonstrations outside Congressional offices, vigils, teach-ins, call-in days, and other vibrant efforts for Fair Trade. Use the materials in our FTAA Action Pack to help you organize your community!

3. URGE YOUR CONGRESSPERSON TO VOTE NO ON CAFTA!

Fair trade forces are gearing up for a legislative battle to defeat the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) in Congress. Signed by the governments of the United States, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica and El Salvador, the agreement would extend many of the most contested provisions of the proposed FTAA throughout Central America. This is a "divide-and-conquer" strategy of the Bush Administration to subject the poorest countries of the hemisphere to U.S. corporate domination and break up the unity of Latin America against the FTAA.

For more information on how to bring the fight against CAFTA to your town visit our new CAFTA resources page!
