1. DOWNLOAD OUR BRAND-NEW CAFTA ACTION PACK!

Full of Flyers on CAFTA and Services, Sweatshops, Environment, Investment, Agriculture, a How-To Guide on local campaigning, and more, this Action Pack will provide everything you need to start a local campaign to STOP CAFTA!

2. LOBBY YOUR ELECTED OFFICIAL!

Even with Bush in the White House, we CAN win the fight against CAFTA - but only if people like you who care about the environment and labor rights across the U.S. contact their representative and urge them to STOP CAFTA. Contact your members of Congress today and tell them to oppose CAFTA and any other agreement which does not contain enforceable labor and environmental protections.

CALL: You can reach your member of Congress at the Capitol Switchboard, (202) 224-3121. Simply tell them you are a constituent, and you want them to vote against CAFTA - and that you want them to declare their opposition publicly BEFORE CAFTA gets sent to the floor for a vote.

FAX: Public Citizen maintains a free service for you to fax your members of Congress about CAFTA. To take action click here!

MEET IN PERSON: The most effective way to bring our opposition to members of congress is to meet with them in person. Get a group of community leaders together and call your representative to schedule an appointment. Never lobbied before? No problem. Lobbying information and tips are available in our CAFTA Action Pack.

Citizens Trade Campaign may also have a local organizer in your area who can help you - check out their lobby materials and information Citizens Trade Campaign website.

Write a Letter to the Editor or an article in your local newspaper, or pitch them on a local story related to the global economy.
